With this exciting news, we see some confirmation on some characters in the next, much anticipated set. X-23 “Assassin” (Cost and type unknown)

Quicksilver “Thanks to…” 4 cost Bolt character

  • “When fielded, Quicksilver deals 1 damage to each opposing sidekick.”
  • Dice sides known: Lvl 1: 0 cost, 3 attack, 1 defense. Lvl 2: 1 cost, 3 attack, 2 defense. Lvl 3: 1 cost, 4 attack, ? defense

As you may have noticed, it seems that the characters are keeping same archetypes with the previous set. X-23 is probably close to the assassin type that deadpool is in the AvX set. This is just speculation. We can also see that Falcon does something similar to Angel, in that he cannot be blocked something happens. Quicksilver in line with other bolt characters, does direct damage in a form. However, we now have something new with Marvel Girl with the new mechanic Heroic. The mechanic seems to have her tied to another card. Will be interesting if this could potentially protect another character which might be good news for those Loki Gemkeeper players.

Another thing, some of the dice on the right side of the add are shown. We can see what I believe is a cyclops, but different colors. This begs the question of reoccurring characters in future sets. Some buzz on the forums thinks this to be the villain version of Cyclops, however that would not fall in line with the uncanny universe. If it is Cyclops, some people have been asking would you be able to use his previous dice. I would have to say know as the dice are clearly printed on the cards and would not be interchangeable.

Lastly you can now see the “Heroclix” style gravity feed that is supposed to deliver the cards in a better shape as a huge drawback was the consumers complaining about warped cards from being packed so tightly. This is an exciting little tidbit for all the Dice Master fans and we can froth more at the mouth until we get closer to fall.
